• Documents & Images: Photos of receipts, driver's licenses, insurance cards, and other documents you upload.
• Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers (for analytics and debugging).
• Usage Data: Crash logs, performance metrics, and app interaction data.
• Location Data: (Optional) With your permission, we collect coarse or precise location to help find fuel stations or log fill-up locations.
• Push Notification Tokens: To send you maintenance reminders and service alerts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide core features (tracking vehicles, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and expenses).
• Sync data across your devices via secure cloud storage.
• Process subscriptions and payments (via RevenueCat and App Stores).
• Send maintenance reminders and service notifications.

The App may request the following permissions:

• Camera & Photo Gallery: To scan VINs, capture fuel receipts, and upload vehicle photos and documents. Photos remain under your control and are stored securely.
• Location: To assist in logging fuel station locations and finding nearby gas stations.
• Notifications: To send maintenance reminders and service alerts. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
• Biometrics (Face ID / Touch ID): To secure access to the App. Biometric data is processed locally by the operating system and is never stored or transmitted by us.

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared with third parties only as necessary to provide the App's features:

• Firebase: For authentication, data storage, and sync functionality.
• RevenueCat: For subscription and purchase management.
• AdMob: To display relevant advertisements.

We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Security

Your data is protected using industry-standard measures:

• Encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL.
• Encrypted at rest in Firebase Cloud Storage.
• Firebase infrastructure is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified.
• We do not store your credit card or payment information directly; all transactions are processed securely through the App Stores and RevenueCat.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

• Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active.
• Deletion: You have full control over your data:
  • In-App: You can permanently delete your account and all cloud data instantly via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
  • Web Request: You may also submit a deletion request through our Account Deletion Page.

Upon deletion, all your data (vehicles, logs, documents, and cloud storage) will be permanently removed from our servers.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data.

9. Advertising & Tracking

• We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App.
• AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) to serve personalized ads.
• On iOS, you will be prompted via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before any tracking occurs. You can opt out at any time via your device settings.
• You can also limit ad personalization in your device's privacy settings.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

11. Affiliate Disclosure

Carfolio participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links within the App. This does not affect the price you pay.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
• Sending a notification through the App for significant changes.
